Biden promised to put “truth over lies,” but has done just the opposite as president.
Biden’s falsehoods range from made-up personal stories, such as claiming he was involved in the civil rights movement, to lying about policies, such as spreading misinformation about a new Georgia election integrity law meant to make it easier to vote.
Now, Biden is directly lying to the American people in an attempt to push through his Build Back Broke agenda.
- Biden is falsely claiming that his nearly $2 trillion tax-and-spending spree will not add to inflation, is “fully paid for,” and will not raise taxes on middle-class families across America.
Americans see through Biden’s lies, and his approval rating is underwater as a result.

FACT: BUILD BACK BROKE WILL WORSEN INFLATION

For months, the Biden administration insisted inflation was “transitory” and “temporary.”
With inflation now at a 30-year-high, Fed Chair Jerome Powell and Biden’s Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen have finally conceded inflation will persist and that it is time to “retire” the word “transitory.”
Despite historic inflation, Biden and Democrats continue to push their Build Back Broke plan which will only add fuel to the fire.
Economists across the aisle have said the bill will worsen inflation:
- Manhattan Institute senior economist Brian Riedl: The bill would "fuel inflation."
- U.S. Chamber of Commerce senior economist Curtis Dubay: The bill will "undoubtedly worsen" inflation.
- The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget's Marc Goldwein: "I expect inflationary pressures" from the bill.
- Former Obama economic advisor Steven Rattner: "The administration should come clean with voters about the impact of its spending plans on inflation."

FACT: BUILD BACK BROKE IS NOT FULLY PAID FOR

Biden and his team have repeatedly told the lie that his nearly $2 trillion tax-and-spend spree is fully paid for, won’t add to the deficit, and costs zero dollars.
- In October 2021, Biden even said, "when we talk about the number, we shouldn’t even talk about the numbers.”
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO), which Biden previously called the “gold standard,” estimates the Build Back Better Act would increase the U.S. deficit by $367 billion over the next decade.
The Washington Post fact checker admitted Build Back Broke will increase the deficit and does not support Democrat claims that the bill is “fully” paid for.
- The Progressive Policy Institute’s Ben Ritz said, “There is no definition of ‘paid-for’ that the House #BuildBackBetter bill meets.”
Democrats are now attempting to use yet another gimmick by combining the CBO score with the Treasury estimate in order to pacify concerned members of their party.

FACT: AMERICANS MAKING BELOW $400K WILL SEE HIGHER TAXES

Biden has repeatedly claimed that no one making less than $400,000 would see their taxes raised.
- October 2020: “Anyone making less than $400,000 will not see a penny in taxes raised.”
- May 2021: “Anybody making less than $400,000 a year will not pay a penny [more] in taxes.”
- November 2021: “No one in America earning less than $400,000 will pay a single penny more in federal taxes.”
In reality, the radical social spending bill includes tax cuts for the richwhile the middle class would be slammed.
- According to the left-leaning Tax Policy Center, up to 30 percent of middle-class families would see higher taxes under Biden’s spending spree.
- Democrats also violate their pledge to only tax the rich by including a “vape tax,” which is considered highly regressive.
