Just Weeks After Empire State Voters Backed Election Integrity Measures, The Democrat-Run New York City Council Wants To Let Non-Citizens Vote In The City’s Elections

NEW YORK CITY PLANS TO LET NEARLY ONE MILLION NON-CITIZENS VOTE

THIS IS JUST THE LATEST RADICAL MOVE BY THE FAR-LEFT, DEMOCRAT CONTROLLED CITY COUNCIL

JUST LAST MONTH, NEW YORKERS REJECTED BALLOT INITITATIVES TO WEAKEN ELECTION INTEGRITY

  • In New York, two statewide ballot measures sought to eliminate provisions of the state constitution that prevented same-day voter registration and universal vote-by-mail.
    • The provisions were firmly opposed in many upstate counties — including in Erie County, home of the Democrat-heavy city of Buffalo.
    • Neither measure received more than 45 percent of the vote.

DEMOCRATS ACROSS THE COUNTRY ARE NOW OPENLY TRYING TO LET NON-CITIZENS VOTE

LETTING NON-CITIZENS VOTE IS A RADICAL POLICY

AMERICANS OVERWHELMINGLY OPPOSE LETTING NON-CITIZENS VOTE

  • Americans reject letting non-citizens vote, with 71 percent of Americans opposing San Francisco’s decision to let non-citizens vote in school board elections.
  • Voters in four states — ColoradoFloridaNorth Dakota, and Alabama — have overwhelmingly supported ballot measures in the last few years saying that only U.S. citizens can vote in their state’s elections.
  • Even though voters overwhelmingly reject letting non-citizens vote, Democrats in Congress appear to have no problem with it.

THE REPUBLICAN NATIONAL COMMITTEE IS PUSHING BACK

  • The Republican National Committee (RNC) is fighting back against these blatant attacks on election integrity by engaging in lawsuits on this very issue.
  • In September, the RNC filed a lawsuit against the cities of Montpelier and Winooski, Vermont over their new charters letting non-citizens vote in their municipal elections.
  • The RNC is also engaged in an important lawsuit in Pennsylvania, calling on Pennsylvania's Democrat-run Department of State to reveal records related to a potentially massive flaw in the integrity of Pennsylvania's election system.
