While Biden Tries To Smother The Economic Recovery, Republican-Led States Continue To See More Jobs And Lower Unemployment

REPUBLICAN-LED STATES ARE BRINGING BACK JOBS FASTER

Newly released data for September from the Labor Department confirms that Republican governors and legislatures are leading the way in getting Americans back to work.
- More jobs are being recovered and unemployment is lower in red states.
- 17 of the top 20 states for jobs recovered since the coronavirus pandemic began are led by Republican governors, and 18 of the top 20 states have Republican-controlled legislatures.
- The top 14 states for jobs recovered are all led by Republicans.
- Two Republican-led states – Idaho and Utah – have more jobs than when the pandemic hit.
24 Republican-led states have recovered at least two-thirds of their lost jobs.
- Republican-led states on average have recovered 80 percent of their lost jobs compared to just 67 percent for Democrat-run states.
- Two Democrat-run states – Louisiana and Hawaii – have failed to recover even half of the jobs lost due to the coronavirus pandemic.

RED STATES HAVE LOWER UNEMPLOYMENT RATES

Out of the top 20 states with the lowest unemployment rates, 16 are led by Republican governors.
- The 11 states with the lowest unemployment rates are all led by Republicans.
- The eight states with the highest unemployment rates are all led by Democrat governors: California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, and New York.
The average unemployment rate for the nation’s 27 states with Republican governors is just 4.1 percent.
- Democrat-led states have an average unemployment rate 1.4 percentage points higher – 5.5 percent.
The unemployment rates in nine states – Nebraska, Utah, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Georgia, Montana, West Virginia, Wyoming, and Mississippi – are lower than or at the same level they were when the pandemic began.

DEMOCRAT GOVERNORS HAVE HELD BACK VIRGINIA AND NEW JERSEY

With gubernatorial elections less than two weeks away, Virginia and New Jersey do not need another four years of Democrat leadership.
Under Democrat Governor Ralph Northam, Virginia is in the top ten states for least jobs recovered and ranks 49^th for the best state to start a business.
- Virginia businesses are struggling to maintain normal operations due to labor shortages, including Richmond’s Gelati Celesti Ice Cream which has been forced to cut hours as a result.
- Garbage is piling up on street curbs in Fairfax County, Virginia because of worker shortages.
- Virginians are fleeing high taxes and an unfriendly business environment, with more people moving out of the state than into it.
- Now is not the time for Terry McAuliffe’s tax hikes and rubber stamp for Biden’s job-killing agenda.
- The last time McAuliffe was Governor, Virginia had zero economic growth during his first year in office.
Under Democrat Governor Phil Murphy, New Jersey consistently ranks in the top 10 for highest unemployment rate and ranks 47^th for the best state to start a business in.
- On Murphy’s watch, nearly one-third of New Jersey small businesses were shuttered last year, with many still struggling to rebound.
- New Jersey is suffering from a statewide school bus driver shortage, with kids arriving late, crying, and hungry – if the bus even shows at all.
- Under Murphy, New Jersey has the highest tax burden in the nation.
It’s not just New Jersey and Virginia; families, workers, and businesses across America are struggling under Democrat leadership.
Now, Biden and Democrats want to slam Americans with trillions more in reckless taxesand spending, a recipe for even more inflation and higher prices.
Biden is pushing an unconstitutional vaccine mandate– a mandate that many small businesses and workers do not have the money or legal resources to fight.
