WASHINGTON - RNC Chairman Reince Priebus issued the following statement on the March jobs report:
“This report clearly shows that President Obama’s efforts have not done enough to grow our economy and create jobs fast enough. It’s very disappointing to see that job creation slowed down in March,” said Chairman Priebus.
“There are still millions of Americans who are stuck in part-time positions because of job-killing legislation like ObamaCare. Hundreds of thousands of potential workers have become discouraged with the job market entirely and are no longer looking for employment at all.
“Too many Americans are still out of work. Republicans in Congress know that their efforts to restore the economy have only just begun, and they will continue to send job-creating bills to the president’s desk.
“However, it appears that President Obama is unwilling to listen to the will of the people and their representatives. When he vetoed the Keystone Pipeline he signaled his intent to put politics before the best interests of the country. We must elect a Republican president in 2016 who will work with, instead of against, Congress to lift our nation out of this economic slump and get more Americans back to work. Unemployed Americans cannot afford another four years of the Obama-Clinton agenda.”
