RNC Statement on May Jobs Report

- June 5, 2015

WASHINGTON – RNC Chairman Reince Priebus issued the following statement on the May jobs report:

“While we welcome today’s news, only in the Obama economy would this be considered a good report. Last week, we learned that the U.S. economy contracted in the first quarter of this year. It shrank. We’re glad to see workers found jobs last month, but the economic picture is still mixed at best. The economy is not strong enough or growing fast enough, and there are millions of American who still need jobs,” said Chairman Priebus.

“We need leadership in the White House that won’t settle for a sluggish economy, weighed down by the federal government. Hillary Clinton won’t take us in the right direction. To expand opportunity, to create better paying jobs, and to unleash real economic growth, we need a Republican president.”
