WASHINGTON — Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus issued the following statement on the June jobs report:
"The ability to find and keep a steady, good-paying job is essential to building a good life. But today’s report shows that many Americans gave up on finding work altogether in June, with the labor force participation rate declining to its lowest level since October 1977,” said Chairman Priebus.
"Like many reports before it, today’s report reminds us that millions of our fellow Americans are out of work and that many of them have been out of work for far too long. We’re glad anytime someone goes back to work, but we can’t forget about those who still need jobs to support themselves and their families. They should be our priority.
“If elected president, Hillary Clinton will grow the government bureaucracy in Washington, raise our taxes, and regulate everything from energy to small businesses. In other words, her top priorities would hinder, not help, job creation. To expand opportunity in America, we need to create jobs faster. And to do that, we will need to elect a Republican president in 2016.”
