Thanks a Latte for Nothing, Tim Kaine

Garren Shipley - January 24, 2018

Here are a few headlines that Tim Kaine hopes you missed in the last 24 hours.

Some of the country’s most recognizable businesses announced a new wave of pay raises and bonuses thanks to the GOP’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. This is great news for American workers and our economy! It’s bad news for Tim Kaine who cast a partisan vote against the tax bill.

    • Starbucks: Seattle’s coffee giant announced pay raises and stock grants for employees. The news will impact 150,000 employees across 8,200 company-owned stores.

    • Disney: The happiest company on earth announced that 125,000 employees will receive $1,000 bonuses. They will invest $50 million into a new employee education program.

    • JP Morgan Chase: The company announced that it will invest $20 billion to give 22,000 employees a pay raise, open 400 new locations that create new American jobs, and increase its charitable giving and small business lending.

    • Verizon: Employees will receive $400 million in stock from the company.

And all of this news is in the aftermath of Senate Democrats, including Tim Kaine, being criticized for greatlymiscalculating a government shutdown that jeopardized funding for our military and children’s healthcare, turned their far-left base against them, and left Virginians asking, what was the point?

Not a great week for Tim Kaine, and it’s only Wednesday.
