THEY SAID IT! Ex-DNC Comms Dir. Slams Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s Debate Feud

- October 14, 2015

Mo Elleithee, Who Served As Communications Director For The DNC Under Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Said "It Seems To Me That The DNC Could Make This Whole Distraction Go Away By Simply Saying 'She's Welcome To Come.'" Earlier this year, Mo Elleithee served as a communications director for the DNC. Welcoming Ms. Gabbard to the debate - and doing so without preconditions - would have been the right move, he said in an interview. 'It seems to me that the DNC could make this whole distraction go away by simply saying, 'She's welcome to come, with no strings attached. And while we're at it, we're saving a seat for her right next to [Ms. Wasserman Schultz]. Because at the end of the day, process differences don't matter nearly as much as supporting our great Democratic candidates.'" Elleithee Added That The DNC's Response To Gabbard "Seems Like A Completely Counter-Productive Argument To Be Having Hours Before The Debate Starts." "'Otherwise,' Mr. Elleithee added, 'they are spending their time litigating whether or not they are trying to squelch her right to disagree, and that seems like a completely counter-productive argument to be having hours before the debate starts.'"
