Now that the Nevada Demcoratic gubernatorial primary and all-out rat race to the far left is over, we’re guessing that Steve Sisolak will conveniently attempt to downplay his fringe agenda and try to portray himself as a more middle-of-the road Democrat, especially when it comes to massively important issues like raising taxes. But the reality is that Sisolak’s track record on taxes speaks for itself, and that record is anything but moderate. Since it’s throwback Thursday, here are just a few pretty glaring examples we can’t ignore:
· Sisolak has supported $4.7 billion in tax increases in just three years.
· He voted for a fuel-tax increase that drives up gas prices gas by 36 cents per gallon.
· He voted twice to increase the sales tax on Clark County residents.
· He proposed a $71 million property tax increase.
Finally, let’s not forget that Steve Sisolak hasn’t met very many fees he didn’t like, considering he supported water fee increases of over 20 percent, doubled parking fees and hiked up marriage license fees.
‘If Steve Sisolak thinks voters will ignore his track record of supporting tax increases and fees, he’s dead wrong. No matter what Sisolak says, his actions have proven that he is anything but moderate, especially when it comes to the issues that impact hardworking Nevadan families the most.”
