RE: Weekend Messaging Memo
The Obama agenda has been bad for employers and worse for workers. For proof, look no further than today's absolutely dismal jobs report.
After three and half years of chronically high unemployment, Americans are ready for a new direction. That requires a new president with a proven track record. As former President Clinton said yesterday, that's exactly what Mitt Romney has: a "sterling" career in the private sector. Congressman Steny Hoyer backed him up on that this morning.
In contrast, President Obama's economic policies have failed--by his own standards.
In 2009, the Obama economic team promised unemployment would drop below 6 percent by 2012. That same year, President Obama promised that if he didn't have the economy fixed in three years, then his presidency "was going to be a one-term proposition."
