In one of those you-have-to-hear-it-to-believe-it moments, Hillary Clinton recently told a crowded audience what she really thinks about voters from states “in the middle where Trump won” over her in 2016 – like Michigan. Spoiler: It’s not exactly flattering. Watch for yourself:
HILLARY CLINTON: “If you look at the map of the United States, there’s all that red in the middle where Trump won. I win the coasts, I win – you know – Illinois, Minnesota, places like that. But what the map doesn’t show you is that I won the places that represent two thirds of America’s gross domestic product. So I won the places that are optimistic, diverse, dynamic, moving forward. And his whole campaign, Make America Great Again, was looking backwards. You know, you didn’t like black people getting rights, you don’t like women, you know, getting jobs, you don’t want, you know, to see that Indian American succeeding more than you are. Whatever your problem is, I’m gonna solve it.”
Hillary didn’t hold back about Michiganders and voters from states around the country who chose a better future under President Trump’s leadership over her. As Debbie Stabenow tries to win those voters back for Democrats in 2018, Michiganders deserve to know if she agrees with Hillary’s opinion of them.
“Instead of taking responsibility for her own campaign’s failures, Hillary Clinton has now lashed out against voters in America’s heartland for not supporting her, going as far as to describe them as racist, misogynistic, and backwards. Michigan played a pivotal role in President Trump’s victory in 2016. If Debbie Stabenow wants Michiganders to support her and her party this November, she must condemn Clinton’s vile attacks against her constituents.” – RNC Spokesperson Ellie Hockenbury
