Over 150 women from around the country participated in our recent 2015 RNC Women’s “Empowering Leaders for the Future” Summit ” This two-day summit brought women from New York to Washington to Alaska to meet, network, and learn about the many resources the RNC has made available to them as candidates and activists.
Our goal was to empower and engage women to be part of our path to victory in 2016. As Republicans, we know women are not a monolithic vote. We don’t go into the voting booth as one single unit to cast one ballot. Women have different views and different priorities. Women are as diverse as any other major voting group…in fact we are the majority voting group for the next election….53%!
That’s why we have continued these training programs for women activists and candidates, beginning with our Blackboard to Blacktop program, our Getting Ready to Run program, our Taking Back the Future RNC Women’s Summit, and our ‘14 in ‘14 Program. These programs have helped bring younger women into the party and helped elect outstanding female leaders, both on the local and national level.
Our Empowering Leaders for the Future Summit is yet another way we are helping women of all ages to get more involved and become leaders in our party, in their community, and in public office.

And, in addition, I want to take this opportunity to encourage women to sign up for our ongoing Republican Leadership Initiative program which helps train new Republican activists to be leaders in their own neighborhoods. You can find out more information about that here.
Together we will win back the White House in 2016, for our party, for our country, and for our future.
